| Riassunto: | this paper reports research conducted during the Italian confinement of 2020 and the following period of restrictive measures in 2021. The subjects of the research are young Sicilians who lived at home with their families. Sicily is representative of the condition of Italian youth, characterized by youth unemployment, the difficulty in seeking stable employment, and in achieving economic and also housing independence. It was considered interesting to analyse the experience of young people through qualitative interviews conducted via Skype to understand their experience in the light of the sociology of the body and emotions. An attempt was made to understand and typify the different ways of relating to families of origin, and of inserting one's own personal rhythm into the rhythm of a family. The results demonstrate different types of co-habitation that restore the image of a complex situation of generational coexistence, one characterized by solidarity and individualism.Young people, Sicily, Pandemic, family, emotions |
