| الملخص: | In the case of students studying English as an L2, a genre classification was tested via corpus referencing using the Multidimensional Analysis Tagger, statistical comparisons and qualitative assessments. The study explores the academic genres that students produce, and the influences of the genres to which they are exposed. Academic genre is examined within written productions, as well as across two modes of production, namely, typewritten and handwritten. Academic Prose as a genre in native‑English productions is explored, giving way to a discussion on native‑English corpora and L2 writing instruction. |
