Περίληψη:Making and Unmaking Groups, Numerical Information on "Difficult-Access Populations": After having underlined the divergent points of view between statistics and sociology on how to approach "difficult-access populations", this article proposes to explore the different manners of defining a distance from a norm, the periphery in relation to a center, and to show how, according to the choice of criteria of inclusion adopted, the size and meaning of the statistical group thus constituted are extremely variable.
