| Izvleček: | In sport psychology, discrimination bias in game situations has never been studied. The main goal of this study was to test if ingroup favoritism bias could be identified through decision-making in game situation involving White and Black players. Forty-five White soccer players’ participants were assigned in two experimental conditions- Team (member of the same team) and Ethnic (black versus white players) identity level- and had, as ball carrier, to pass the ball to White or Black partners basing on realistic images of 3 versus 1 game situations on a computer. In Ethnic level condition, participants make significantly more passes to White than Black partners, while in Team condition, there is no significant difference between the number of passes made to Whites and to Black partners. This study highlights how the context in which a sport is played can affect players’ identity positioning and can influence decision-making and potentially favor inappropriate choices among soccer players.
