Resumo:From the analysis of focus groups conducted with newly graduated high school students enrolled in their first year of university, this text addresses the results of a research conducted in a clinical approach referring to psychoanalysis on the issue of university dropout. A first reading of the verbatims allows us to hear the intertwining of two trajectories: the adolescent passage with the stakes of becoming an adult and the university journey whose outcome determines the place occupied in society. The students discuss the importance of the symbolic function of entering university while emphasizing the lack of transition represented by this passage from a threshold to adulthood. The analysis of the materials aims to propose avenues for reflection on a university pedagogy that responds to the time of wandering or immobilization that some experience when crossing this threshold.
