Résumé:From a professional didactic perspective that mobilizes an interactionist linguistic theory, we question interactions between parents and principal educational advisers (CPE) dealing with pupils’ behavioral problems in middle school. Based on the analysis of ninety-five CPE-parents interviews recorded by 10 CPEs, we show that the interviews are mostly cooperative but that levels of cooperation vary and that the “place relationship” is mostly unfavorable to the parent. This asymmetry changes when the decisions to be made depend on the parents and when a form of service relationship is established.
