The author of the article details the slow and complex progress of introducing the study of the Holocaust into Polish schools since the fall of the Communist regime. In the late 1990s, textbooks and curriculum materials underwent an extensive revision. Today, teachers are provided with suitable educational tools and training. The last part of the article deals with a variety of issues that a new generation of teachers faces in classrooms today.
