| Özet: | This contribution aims to study the performative role of a values-based managerial ethos in resisting and responding to boycotts, focusing on the case of Centrale Danone in Morocco. The managerial ethos, which represents the values, identity, and norms guiding the actions of leaders within the company, serves as an axiological foundation on which individuals rely to inform their professional conduct. It manifests as discursive and linguistic strategies that have perlocutionary effects on boycotters. The research methodology is based on a corpus comprising press releases and statements from company leaders. The results highlight the effectiveness of the managerial ethos through the linguistic and discursive means employed during the company’s remedial steps in response to boycott situations. |
