| סיכום: | The aim of this paper is to describe the reflection and the different stages required to develop the practice of transcultural mediation in a hospital department specialised in infectious and tropical diseases. The aim is to offer mediation when indicated for individuals living with HIV. Via the image of embarking for a crossing from one shore to another, we explore the preparatory work for the establishment of mediation in a hospital environment. Three field meetings were organised to raise awareness among staff—the mobile palliative care team, the outpatient consultation for infectious diseases and the cross-sectional therapeutic education team. The healthcare teams are ready to embark, but the administration is not yet on the quayside. |
