| Sumari: | The aim of this article is to propose a measurement scale for wellbeing at work that aggregates the three most commonly cited schools of thought in the French literature of management sciences. After identifying overlaps between them, as well as their specificities and limitations, a test on a sample of employees reveals that only five dimensions should be retained to ensure superior metric qualities compared to the original versions. These dimensions are called: the feeling of self-efficacy, social relations, environment, meaning, and time (CREST). The scores recorded in terms of the links with behavioral authenticity, the main known antecedent, and logical analysis, the main expected outcome, confirm its nomological validity. The newly constructed scale contributes to clarifying the definition of the concept of wellbeing at work. It should also help guide managerial decisions once the scale is introduced into social observatories. |
