The adolescent is no longer a child but is not yet an adult. Manon’s case illustrates this point. Neglecting her familial context led to a premature rupture of therapy a few months in. It was only after a discussion with Manon and her parents that a new relationship began, this time involving the parents themselves, until the natural and peaceful end of therapy. |
