Résumé:In this study, we used an experimental approach, endorsed by the personnel of a closed educational center for young repeat offenders in France, to identify the signs of self-esteem development in adolescents during their placement, and to observe the links with professional practices. This article specifies the main practices that have contributed to these improvements and proposes future courses of action, providing a shared reference framework within the institution while still allowing individuals to choose their preferred methods.
