| Riassunto: | The following study aims at pointing out the main differences in subtitling between the two versions of the movie The Lion King released by Walt Disney Pictures. In this paper, both the 1994 cartoon and the 2019 movie will be analyzed in terms of translation, in order to see which rendition is the most accurate in delivering the message of the original. As far as the subtitles are concerned, a series of lines from the translated versions will be compared to their original English equivalent, in order to see if any mistranslation or inappropriate translations are encountered. |
