| סיכום: | This article examines successive adaptations of Macbeth into comics and focuses on the opposition between adaptations into comic books and into graphic novels. It seeks to understand how this change of format affects the practice of adaptation, insofar as the graphic novel redefines the length of the graphic narratives, their presentation, the status of the author and the place of comics within cultural hierarchies. The comparative study of the fifteen adaptations in the corpus in turn examines the role of “fidelity”, the graphic and narrative approach at work, the position of the adapter as author and the way the peritext of the adaptations articulate the relationship between literature and comics |
