| Summary: | This article examines how the Revue Européenne des Migrations Internationales (European Journal of International Migration—REMI) received and processed a small number of article submissions from the Global South. Empirically, it draws on the complete set of submissions to the varia section over a two-year period (2018-2019), along with their corresponding peer review reports. The analysis first traces the editorial trajectories of these manuscripts, comparing their geographical origins and the institutional status of their authors. It then focuses on a case study to explore how certain peer review practices may contribute to the marginalisation of manuscripts from peripheral academic contexts. |
