總結:In a context marked by the large-scale dissemination of the concept of race and a significant development in the field of discrimination and racism research in francophone sociology, this article aims to reaffirm the scientific value of the theoretical interethnic relations perspective. First, it explores this perspective in light of the proliferation of studies on race and the consolidation of this field over the past twenty years, taking into account theoretical and empirical studies on race, social relations, postcolonialism and intersectionality. It then considers why ethnic questions seem to receive less attention today. The concept of ethnicity seems to have lost its heuristic power and appears to be experiencing a decline in scientific credibility. Overall, the article seeks to explain why ethnicity is often reduced to just the cultural or ideological dimension, while the racial question refers to the economic and political dimensions, as is the case with other social relations.
