Riassunto:Italy constitutes a paradigmatic case of the coexistence between emigration and immigration processes, offering a particularly fertile ground for the analysis of social transformations related to mobility. Alte Ceccato, a small industrial hamlet located in the province of Vicenza, stands out for an history of migratory flows that have profoundly influenced its social composition and housing configurations.During the years of industrial development, the hamlet experienced intense internal migration, coming both from Southern Italy and from the surrounding rural areas.Starting from the 1990s, migrants from Bangladesh and the Indian subcontinent began to settle there; more recently, Alte Ceccato has also become a point of arrival for migrants originating from sub-Saharan Africa. Using the conceptual tools of the migratory stratification approach, this contribution proposes an in-depth analysis of the migratory and housing dynamics that have traversed the territory. The aim is to highlight the continuities, transformations and stratifications that have accumulated over time, exploring the links between the different migratory phases that have contributed to shaping the local space.
