| Sažetak: | The authors explore the migratory and cultural dynamics characterising the central Mediterranean Sea. Through a multi-sited ethnographic approach that considers historical and cultural dynamics, they highlight the layering of encounters and exchanges, frictions and contaminations permeating this space of circulation and movement. Furthermore, this contribution emphasises the importance of “migratory stratifications” and “partial connections” between the northern and southern shores of the Mediterranean Sea, highlighting the reciprocal influences between Italy and Tunisia. In this context, the violence of the European border regime aims to transform the Mediterranean into a barrier whose aim is to progressively compress, if not eliminate, the resilience practices of the coastal communities of the two shores, who continue to live and work in this complex and dynamic geographical space. |
