Описание
Итог:The many collective graves implanted in the Paris basin offer an important sample of ornaments, made up of various forms and raw materials. More than 7500 objects were inventoried, coming from 235 tombs. The typological, functional and spatial aspects were examined in order to understand the place of these individual objects within collective monuments. Ornaments deposited are worn and sometimes repaired, meaning that they were not especially manufactured for the dead. However, despite the variability of these elements and the care exercised in their manufacturing, only a minority of the buried had some. The age and sex are not discriminant factors since all the individuals, men or women, from the youngest to the oldest, could be buried with ornaments.
