| Resumo: | This paper scrutinizes the concept of heritage and its transmission amidst experiences of dislocation in Diana Evans’s 2005 novel 26a. Three types of transmission, through objects, voices and spectres, appear as inseparable and interconnected, and they all follow the same process going from restorative to reflective nostalgia. While Boym defines these concepts as being antithetic, in 26a, they appear to be vital stages both to one’s material and spiritual survival. |
