| Итог: | This article proposes the examination of the political uses of humor in the origins of Peronism, through the analysis of caricatures that appeared in the magazine Desacamisada (1946-1949). This publication was created by a group of redactors and cartoonists that sympathized with FORJA. After two years from its creation it became a fully oficialist means, subsidized by the Subsecretaria de Informaciones. We are interested in examining the raid of Descamisada within the comic strip, a genre of great expansion during those times, through the creation of what can be considered as the first Peronist comic. The analysis of the comic “José Julián, el heroic descamisado” will allow us to exhibit an aspect of the relationship between mass culture and politics in contemporary Argentina. In the last years, this relationship has become part of the research agenda and, in this sense, our work tries to contribute to the developing of these kind of studies, which take the image as a central object. |
