| Crynodeb: | Between 1671 and 1673, while the Netherlands are threatened, then invaded by France, Johan De Witt, Leader of the United Provinces, and Johannes Hudde, burgomaster of Amsterdam, build a method for calculating life annuities, in order to resolve the Dutch State Finances crisis. Huygens, but using an unusual actuarial rate and making several mistakes that we strived to piece together. |
