| الملخص: | The Datini documents retracing the import of alums in Florence offers the opportunity to study the especially interesting case of Inghilese Fighineldi, a Florentine spicer, who, around 1383-1384, strove to become one of the main importers of Eastern alums in the Tuscan centre. His correspondence with the Datini company of Pisa documents precisely the planned or completed commercial ventures, the acquisition, transport and storage of stocks and the terms of sales. It also reveals his disappointment with this commodity. |
