| Sumario: | OxGarage is a user-friendly web service and RESTful API for managing document transformation. It has a rich history of usage and development within the digital humanities. Its open and flexible structure enables seamless integration of new plugins and features, making it a versatile infrastructure suitable for various research communities. Recently, OxGarage has been succeeded by TEIGarage and MEIGarage, both of which share a common core derived from the original OxGarage. These Garages have become integral components of the scholarly infrastructure for the TEI and MEI communities and are essential resources for various services, workflows, and individuals on a daily basis. This paper documents the recent transition from OxGarage to TEIGarage and MEIGarage, outlining specific measures taken to ensure smooth deployment, future development, and reusability. Additionally, it provides insights into the previous developments and history of this software, emphasizing its sustainability and infrastructural resilience. Often, such infrastructures are taken for granted, even though their users rely heavily on the efforts of individuals who build and maintain them. This paper endeavors to acknowledge and credit those responsible for the success of the Garages. |
