| Zusammenfassung: | The outbreak of the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) brought new challenges to museums from the moment the pandemic started to demand social distancing as a measure to prevent the spread of the virus. This impacted museums’ activity and relationship with their audiences. Addressing theories involving virtuality, musealization, and digitization of the museological object, this article proposes a reflection on the challenges faced by museums during the pandemic and how to rethink their uses of virtuality in the post-quarantine period. |
