| Sammanfattning: | In the interface between theology and the arts, creative research methodologies provide a fitting approach for theological and arts-based inquiry. This article presents creative research methodologies developed for and through TheoArtistry, an initiative which seeks to bring together theology and the arts through collaborations between artists and researchers. An analysis of the TheoArtistry Student-Led Partnerships project in particular will reveal how the development of creative research methods may occur on two levels: the project’s overall framework or methodology (that is, the framework that defines the scope, goals, and activities of the research) and the individual methodologies developed by participants as they work within and respond to that framework. Building on this observation, and incorporating insights from the TheoArtistry creative research partnerships thus far, the article considers three methodological factors that have implications for the work undertaken within artist–researcher collaborations: participant roles; research scope; and the tension between process and product in collaborative research. |
