| Crynodeb: | Reconnect, Reiterate, and Reveal were the three recurring themes that emerged during the seasonal check-in meetings between curators Dr Nicole Ruta and Dr Rebekah Dyer and the interdisciplinary partnerships formed in the context of the collaborative TheoArtistry: Text & Image Scheme (2021). The curators chose these themes to introduce Art as Revelation, the final collective exhibition marking the culmination of the scheme. At the end of the project, in August 2022, artists and researchers were invited to revisit these themes as a starting point for reflecting on their experience: How did the collaborations influence their research process? How did the discussions around revelation reshape the way they thought about the relationship between words and images? Participants shared the main challenges encountered during the collaborative and creative development phase of the scheme, as well as the areas of overlap they established between academic and artistic knowledge. |
