| Tóm tắt: | In contextual sound art, artists seek to recover a place, a function and an audience by leaving the auditorium and by composing specifically with a public place in mind. The idea of place is broadened to imply the notion of context. A context contains sources of inspiration, but also the materials, forms and conditions of relevance required for the work and by the artist. The study is placed in the broader context of prior (even primordial) musical practices in which art is invariably connected with a specific place and function. The importance of the notion of ‘accuracy’, commonly limited to the issue of pitch space, is extended to include other physical and metaphorical dimensions. Far from being reduced to a formal or abstract literary construction, the idea of musical ‘text’ is used in such a way as to revive its original meaning of ‘weaving’ within a specific context. |
