| Resumo: | In this study we focus on d’Aulnoy’s impact on Hamilton’s tale, Le Bélier (1730), or “The Ram”—a direct reference to d’Aulnoy’s ram tale, “Le Mouton”—not only in terms of general references he makes to her fairy-tale corpus, but also regarding the impact of the style and discourse generated by d’Aulnoy’s tales.
