| Zusammenfassung: | Very few extant studies have analysed director-level determinants of director election results: the only existing studies are based on data from 2000-2010. In light of the very important changes that US boards of directors have experienced during the past decade, we re-examine this question by analysing a unique data set. We show that the impact from some determinants of director election results has changed over time and that once firm-level effects are controlled for, shareholders are likely to vote in favour of inside directors. |
