Streszczenie:In this article, I will focus on the possibility of thinking about relationships and processes of a temporal nature within the concept of the diagram, as articulated by Gilles Châtelet. While the spatial dimension of the diagram is widely recognized, this paper aims to show how the legacy of the French philosopher and mathematician also contains a powerful, yet often implicit, consideration of dynamic-temporal aspects. In particular, I propose to bring the diagram into dialogue with the psychoanalysis of Jacques Lacan and his concept of logical time. This encounter has a dual direction. On the one hand, Lacan’s logical time lends itself well to being implemented as a diagram. On the other hand, it in turn illuminates certain aspects of a possible temporal dimension of the diagram understood in Châtelet’s sense. After describing the concept of logical time, I therefore propose to implement its essential structure in a particular type of diagram: the cam. In light of this theoretical encounter, the article finally suggests a further direction in which logical time and its diagrammatization might proceed.
