Description
Summary:Number 100 of the Cahiers victoriens et édouardiens is a special one which celebrates the 50th anniversary of the journal. For this purpose, the editors of recent issues have been asked to choose keywords which are for them synonymous with the Victorian and Edwardian periods. In relatively short but substantial articles, they have expanded on their keywords, either synthesizing what the issue they edited brought forward or focusing on their own current research projects. Together, the articles map out today’s Victorian and Edwardian research landscape, both highlighting recent scholarly achievements and tracing new research directions. This will give a new impetus to a journal that has been running, first in printed form and now online, since 1974, thanks to scholars in Montpellier working in close association with the SFEVE (Société Française d’Études Victoriennes et Edouardiennes), and thriving thanks to contributors from France and abroad and an international readership.
