Samenvatting:The temptation of the discovery, the idea to go to the unknown which, revealed, becomes newness, at least partly cornes from the understanding that the encyclopaedic texts hand about distant world. This world, often closed, is at the back of beyond : for that it appears as the ferment of all possible means and the root of an inherent excitation of human mind, always attempting to clear obstacles of nature. The island is an emblem : promise of a happy elsewhere, of a plenty of lost paradise. The call to the newness is an invitation to decode, to verify : the new world is, in a way, this one of the words, authentified by the sight, it is the world, if not of the Truth, at least of one truth.
