Resumo:The counting of the homes in Dijon, set up in 1376, presents a double interest. It does not only give the nominative list of the family’s heads, but also, for the inquiry has been doubled a few time after, it gives up indications on the fortunes and conditions of homes’ life. So as out of 2,419 residents of Dijon, almost 800 bear surnames based on area names, and 842 form the subject of a commentary, 552 of which are certificates of displacement. With the assistance of an adapted statistical and informatical processing, and with usual cares concerning the analysis of anthroponymic datas, then it is possible to restore the area of influence of the burgundian chief town at the end of the XIVecentury. It is high in a 50 km circle radius, ever firm but weakening in a 100 km one; beyond, it emphasizes both economic and diplomatic ways to Italy, France and Flanders.
