| 要約: | The Spanish verb quedar is a very rich term. Although it mainly conveys a meaning of permanence, it relates it to different domains (existence, location, possession or state). Surprisingly, quedar is also able to express the notion of change. Moreover, the literature reveals that it can be used differently (as an auxiliary, a copulative or a lexical verb) according to the syntactic context. The aim of this study is to show how cognitive grammar can explain the complex signification provided by linguistics signs, and to propose a unified vision of the different and seemingly-opposed uses associated to a single polysemous term. This work is mainly based on Langacker’s concepts of Profile and Base, as well as on Talmy’s Force Dynamics. |
