Résumé:This article explores Frame’s ‘undecidability’, the modus operandi which collapses conventional binaries via textual hesitation. The argument explores the intrinsic unclassifiability of Frame’s short fiction, and suggests that the narrator and reader are both situated within an extended moment of decision-making. The article explores Frame’s fiction in a manner that challenges critical responses that categorise her work as either social-realist or figurative.
