| Özet: | This paper scrutinizes the position of the narrator as one of superior knowledge as much as of great and largely ironic ignorance. In both cases the narration lays the emphasis on the necessity for Azaro to interpret the world rather than on a creative process. The device is thus realistic rather than magic realist but the stark contrast resulting from the choice of a first person narration provokes readerly puzzlement and I contend that it is to be solved by a foregrounding of interrogation rather than of certainty. |
