Özet:Much has appeared concerning various aspects of the ‘literary travel’ to Australia. This has generally stressed the projection of British stereotypes on an Australian context. A number of recent volumes contain the impressions left on Australian travellers by the different European countries which they have visited. In the end what emerges is that this experience sometimes leaves them in a sort of ‘heart of darkness’ which highlights their anguishes, fears and longings.
