| Summary: | The author, guest curator of an exhibition of the ceramics of Miró for a small Toronto museum, describes the planning and organizing of the exhibition from the beginning until the opening week. Besides outlining some of the crucial difficulties and decisions that ensued, she draws attention to the unusual way in which Miró worked in partnership with a renowned Catalan potter, and points to the allusions in his ceramics to mediaeval Catalan art, Irish naive sculpture, and, at Laura Malvano’s suggestion, to an important painting by Piero della Francesca. |
