It features an invocation addressed to Christ by two men from the Phoenician city of Berytus. This text, first published in 2006, is here edited again and commented on accordingly. The proposed revision makes it possible to find the name of Nestabos, the second author of the inscription, and to replace this Semitic anthroponym within the Syrian onomastics of late antiquity. |
