Excavations undertaken in the Keramat Pahlawan area, near the Chinese prayer room, revealed different construction phases. Following the uncovering in 2013 of several practically parallel wall sections in the KC8-KC9 area through excavations and a survey, additional excavation carried out in 2016 confirmed the presence of four sections of brick walls. The configuration of these remains is reminiscent of the configuration of ancient Hindu-Buddhist buildings (candis) in West Sumatra, whether in Rao, Tanjung Medan, Pulau Sawah, Awang Maombiak or Padang Roco.
