| Περίληψη: | Thirty-one plant samples uncovered during the 2011–2016 Kota Cina excavations were selected for laboratory identification, using a binocular magnifying glass and a light microscope. Whenever possible, the specimen are sampled. This sampling follows an oriented manner so as to observe the three-dimensional structure under the three reference planes of the wood (transverse, tangential and radial). The characteristics observed are then compared with reference material stored in a xylotheque or with data in the academic literature. Identification could be provided for eighteen samples. These identifications are palms from genus Coco, bamboo, and representatives of Sterculiaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Fabaceae, Ochnaceae, Chrysobalanaceae, Dipterocarpaceae, Sapotaceae, and Malvaceae. |
