Opis
Streszczenie:Fifty-five samples selected among the metal finds uncovered during the 2011–2016 Kota Cina excavations have been submitted to a non-destructive analysis using a portable X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometre. One of the three gold finds analysed yielded results close to those obtained at the end of the 1980s on a corpus of nine gold foils and led to suggest that they did not originate from alluvial deposits. The other two contain only gold and copper in different proportions. Measurements on twenty-seven samples indicate that they are made of copper, including 26 coins. Fourteen samples give results indicating that their materials are of copper alloys. The remaining samples show results indicating only iron or very high levels of iron combined with one or two other elements in their compositions.
