| الملخص: | Behavioral problems are a common occurrence in people with autism spectrum disorder and co-occurring intellectual disability (ASD-ID). In recent years, increasing attention has been paid to the relationship between behavioral problems in people with ASD-ID, and their personal life satisfaction. The aim of this research was to examine the factors associated with behavioral problems in individuals with ASD-ID, as well as whether behavioral problems and personal life satisfaction are related. The research included 79 respondents, divided into two age groups, from 7 to 15 years and from 15 to 35 years. Instruments used were: a general questionnaire, which contains basic information about the user, Behavior Problems Inventory-01, and Personal Wellbeing Index-Intellectual Disability, PWI-ID. The results indicate that there is no statistically significant correlation between personal life satisfaction, communication skills, family structure and the frequency of behavioral problems. There is a significant correlation between behavioral problems and the age of the respondents. The most frequent behavioral problem is stereotypic behavior. It is necessary to work on the prevention and mitigation of behavioral problems, developing adequate interventions, in accordance with the age and individual characteristics, needs and interests of the people with ASD-ID. |
