| Résumé: | Since the consensus conference in 2012, the idea of creating a doctorate in social work has been gaining momentum. At the cnam, a “Social Work” mention has been added to the doctorate proposed by the Social Work and Social Intervention Chair. Things remained as they were, and a doctorate in social work, a form developed in various countries, did not emerge. The université Sorbonne Paris Nord (uspn) decided to take a different approach, offering high-level training for professionals already in post. In so doing, this project ties in with what already exists in England and the United States, the creation of a Doctorate Social Work (dsw) alongside the PhD in social work. We have been invited to carry out a prefiguration mission for a doctorat professionnel en intervention sociale (DocPro Is). This mission brings to light several unanswered questions concerning the creation of a doctorate in social work. Three levels need to be articulated if a high level of reflexivity and the ability to act in complex situations are to emerge: the pedagogical level, or how level 8 training can produce high-level skills; the job level: which positions can correspond to this level of training; the disciplinary level, on which body of knowledge and proven methodologies such a diploma can thrive. |
