Resumo:Writings and political subjectivationsStarting from Stefka Stefanova Nikolova’s foray into writing, we question the historico-political dimension of the categorizations into oral and written media. Grafted onto an ethnicisation of literature which is itself born of the historical process of nationalization of the written medium – the reification of the oral/written dichotomy asserted itself fully in colonial and post-colonial Africa. Inseparable from a political and epilinguistic construct aimed at making the speakers of non-codified (so-called « oral ») languages individuals outside any culture or civilization, the tying-up of literature to the processes of linguistic codification and instrumentation has produced a long discursive formation, at once homogenizing and hierarchizing (language, nation, civilization, written medium vs. oral medium, hybridization, cognitive deficiency, creolization). Even if this political construct has asserted itself in the imaginary worlds of a good number of authors and critics – to the extent that, by reversing the process through the « regenerating » mission of language, the littérature-monde re-actualizes this same homogenizing vision of cultures – the fact remains that « minor literature » (Deleuze), wherever it comes from, requires a radically different approach. Beyond an esthetic evaluation or the search for ‘academic’ criteria assigning some ‘value’ to the work, it seems to me more interesting to go beyond the oral/written dichotomy, totally unsuited to the domain of creation, in order to favour more an appreciation from the « dehors » (Blanchot) determining one of the central questions of creation, i.e. of new forms of political subjectivations implemented by writing. If writing has everything to do with speaking, it probably has no link at all with language (« langue »), which is a political construct resting on processes of categorization and hierarchization of forms.
