| Sažetak: | « Gypsy literatures » is not an easy concept for a French researcher. Indeed, in France, we do not usually describe literature in terms of community, we usually pay attention to the author’s nationality, or the language he uses for his writings. Moreover, there are few gypsy authors in France and most of them do not write what is called « literature », but some kind of autobiographies. One of them, Coucou Doerr, a Manush who lived in the South West of France, and was also a musician and a painter, has published in 1982 a book about his own life called Où vas-tu Manouche? By comparing in an anthropologic way the writing with the pictures and also the music, we can understand that all his works express one thing: the old and sacred « time of the horses » that the old man wanted to transmit to his own family, to the gorgios and also to the young generations of gypsies. |
