Özet:If we look back at the history of psychoanalysis, we can see that, since its very founding, the number of weekly therapy sessions offered has varied greatly, both quantitatively and qualitatively. One constant does emerge, however: the absence of any in-depth theorization on the number of sessions, including the French standard of three sessions per week. This current problem, beyond the malaise it reveals within the analytic community, is an excellent opportunity to rethink the aims of analytic treatment and the three training models recognized by the International Psychoanalytical Association.
