סיכום:Throughout history, filmmakers recognized as auteurs have used visual and sound codes of rock music in their films, putting this music genre at the center of a niche film culture. In this paper, we aim to discuss how arthouse movies assimilate the so-called alternative rock, thus creating aesthetic, political and social narratives that are highly appreciated by a community of film and music fans. We analyze the intersections of rock and arthouse film, by focusing on the collaboration of filmmakers and musicians. Our discussion is based on texts about cinephilia (De Baecque 2003), rock et film performance (Palmer 2020), and subcultures (Hebdige 1979).
