| Özet: | Introduction: Access to health care in Togo is strongly influenced by financial inclusion, a concept that encompasses household access to formal financial services. In a developing country like Togo, this relationship is crucial to understanding health challenges. Households with limited access to financial services may face significant barriers to obtaining medical care, which can exacerbate health inequalities. Purpose of the study: The overall objective of this study is to analyze the effect of financial inclusion on households’ use of health care in Togo. Results: Financial inclusion has a positive effect on households’ use of health care. Men with access to formal financial services seek more health care than women in similar situations. Financially included urban households have greater access to health care compared to financially included rural households. Conclusions: The study reinforces the idea that effective financial inclusion policies can have positive impacts on public health, particularly in vulnerable contexts such as Togo. Efforts to improve access to financial services should be integrated into public health strategies to maximize their impact. |
